Bio
I left the Guernsey Grammar School and went straight into a small local accounting practice. This provided me with experience of a wide range of client types from sole traders to limited companies and running the audit process where required. There was also a manual bookkeeping ledger which was maintained providing an excellent background to double entry bookkeeping!
Following this, I worked within Guernsey’s finance industry within the fiduciary and investment sectors, including the preparation of financial statements for FTSE listed entities with consolidated foreign subsidiaries.
I launched Graphite to provide a personal service to clients and to help explain items in a clear manner trying to avoid financial jargon. My time in the finance industry has also made me appreciate that there are times where reporting deadlines can provide additional pressures and I would like to provide employers with an avenue to assist their staff by contracting with Graphite on a short term basis to meet these deadlines and also avoiding an often lengthy and expensive recruitment process.
When not in the office, I enjoy keeping fit and travelling when time allows.

Charles Vorster CA (SA), Co-Owner
Bio
I studied accounting for chartered accountants at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University and obtained by BCom Honors degree. I then completed a three year training contract at PwC in Port Elizbeth and passed both the SAICA entry exams on the first attempt which was the path way to registering as a chartered accountant. I have worked on a variety of clients from many industries during my time at PwC in Port Elizabeth.
Following this, I moved to Guernsey in 2016 where I have worked in variety of roles in the finance industry. I have gained a vast amount of experience having worked in the fields of auditng, fund administration and asset management. I have working knowledge of a variety of open and closed ended funds including FTSE listed entities. I have also assisted incorporating regulated entities in both Abu Dhabi and Hong Kong.

I joined Graphite to offer my services with true professionalism but with a personal touch. I feel I have much to offer businesses with my financial industry experiences gained in Guernsey and further abroad including my time working in South Africa.
When not in the office, I enjoy playing sport and exploring new countries.
